US-based retail Walmart has revealed its plans to increase import of garment, footwear and luggage products from Cambodia. Walmart executives recently met Cambodian Labour Minister Ith Samheng in Phnom Penh to discuss the possibilities. Walmart has been among the big players who source garment products from Cambodia. In the first six months of 2017, garment and footwear exports from Cambodia to the US noted a 6.9 per cent increase to US $ 3.7 billion, informed the Labour Ministry.
